Joy Luck Dating offers an automated relationship reading using birth-based principles drawn from traditional Chinese feng shui and related Five Elements and Four Pillars frameworks. Joy Luck Dating is operated from Utah, United States. These terms apply to the compatibility preview on relationship.joyluckdating.com, its personal-reading page and its hosted version, not to a future paid service or a separately verified teen-access program.
Please read these terms, the Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer before using the preview. If you do not agree to these conditions, do not use it. This preview does not provide matchmaking, messaging, identity checks, or background checks.
2. Readings and permission
You must be at least 18 to join the separate launch-update list. For a reading about anyone under 18, an adult parent or legal guardian with legal capacity to agree to these terms must operate the service on the minor's behalf and review the notices and report. Independent use by a minor is not permitted under this parent/guardian-operated arrangement. Ages 13–17 may be included in the reading types that accept those birth dates; a child under 13 may be included only in Parent & child mode operated by their adult parent or legal guardian. A child under 13 must not use the site or submit information themselves. This does not create a teen dating account, matching or messaging service.
Before entering another adult's details, obtain their permission for this reading and share the Privacy Policy and free preview privacy information with them. A birthday being publicly available or generally known is not, by itself, permission to use or share it here. Only a minor's adult parent or legal guardian may operate a reading on their behalf; consider the child's wishes and privacy and enter no more information than needed. The adult must control any optional saving, downloading, emailing or sharing of the child's report. Parent & child mode requires both birth hours and selections of Mother or Father and Son or Daughter. It explores each person's perspective using their own birth details, then compares the animal symbols linked to both people.
Do not impersonate anyone or falsely confirm permission or parental authority. Birth-date checks determine chart eligibility, not the identity or age of the person using the website. The on-screen acknowledgment is not independent age, identity, parental-authority or consent verification. These conditions do not remove obligations that applicable law places on Joy Luck Dating, including any duty to obtain consent or provide privacy rights.
The personal Four Pillars reading at /personal-reading/ accepts birth dates for ages 13 and up after acknowledgment of the existing disclaimer. A reading about a person aged 13–17 must be operated by their adult parent or legal guardian under section 2. For a child under 13, use Parent & child relationship mode with their adult parent or legal guardian instead. Its calculations, downloaded city search and PDF generation run in the browser. Clicking the pre-report acknowledgment accepts the notice shown; it does not verify age, identity, parental authority or anyone’s permission.
3. Free access, with no automatic subscription
The current preview is free. No account, email address, payment details, or purchase is required to generate or open the full report. Using it does not start a subscription and will not automatically result in charges.
If paid features are introduced later, their price and conditions will be presented separately before you choose to purchase. Access to this free preview may change or end as the service develops; that does not authorize charging you.
4. Your information and report
Birthplace searches and readings are processed in your browser. The calculator downloads the same public city list for visitors; it does not send the words you type, birth details, or report to a city-search provider or save them in a report database. Nicknames are optional, and you may leave names blank.
After opening a reading, you may choose Email me my report. This sends your written reading, including its names and information, through Joy Luck’s server and Resend to the address you enter. It includes an HTML copy; charts remain in the PDF available on the website. Joy Luck stores short-lived keyed hashes and send counts for abuse prevention, not your email address or reading. These records become eligible for deletion after two days and are removed during later delivery requests; Resend processes messages and delivery records under its service policies. Report delivery does not subscribe you to marketing.
Generating a reading does not automatically save the form details or report in browser local storage. Choosing Save on this device stores the report copy, including the names, birth information and guidance shown in it, and any check-in notes you choose to save, in this browser for this site. It is not synced or protected by a separate password; avoid shared devices. Use My readings & weekly check-in or clear the site's browser storage to remove those copies. Browser autofill and page restoration may separately retain information. Hosting and font providers may process network information such as IP addresses; this is separate from browser-only chart calculation. See the Privacy Policy for device saving, email delivery, providers, retention and deletion limits.
Before opening a reading, select Agree & view my report to accept these Terms and the Disclaimer and acknowledge the reading limits and permission statement shown. Back to details does not accept or generate the reading. This confirmation is not marketing consent or independent verification of age, parental consent, or another person’s permission. Switching to or from Parent & child mode clears the details and report. A file or printout you choose to save remains under your control; clearing the form does not delete those copies. Do not share another adult’s details or a joint report without their permission. Protect a minor’s privacy and avoid unnecessary sharing of their details or report.
5. Responsible use
Use the preview for personal reflection and conversation. Do not use it to harass, threaten, stalk, manipulate, discriminate against, or expose another person. Do not treat the report as a basis for decisions about someone’s employment, housing, credit, insurance, health care, or other essential opportunities.
A parent–child reading must not be used to label a child, justify punishment or withholding care, or make decisions about custody, education, or health. It is not an assessment of development or parenting ability. An adult remains responsible for safe, age-appropriate care and for respecting an adult child’s autonomy.
Do not disrupt the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, or bypass security measures. Joy Luck Dating may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.
6. Limits of the reading
This is an interpretive tool, not a scientifically validated compatibility test, prediction, or guarantee. Birth information, city coverage, historical time-zone rules, and unknown birth times can affect results. A report does not assess a person’s character or safety and does not establish that a relationship will succeed or fail.

7. Content and permitted copies
Joy Luck Dating’s branding, design, and original website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may view, download, and print your report for personal use, respecting the other person’s privacy. Do not falsely present the site or report as your own service or as a professional certification.
Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses. The adapted city database is from GeoNames under CC BY 4.0; details are in the city-data attribution. These terms do not restrict permissions granted by that license.
8. Availability and your legal rights
The preview is provided on an available basis. Results may contain errors, and uninterrupted availability or suitability for a particular purpose is not promised. Those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, guarantees, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not require arbitration, waive class-action rights, or require you to bring a claim in a particular country.

9. Changes
Updates will be published here with a revised date. Material changes will be brought to visitors’ attention where required by law, and additional agreement will be requested where necessary. Changes will not retroactively authorize new uses of information or turn this free preview into a paid subscription.
